Winners of Writers Guild Awards 2019

The Writers Guild revealed their winners for the best in film and television screenwriting, announced on Saturday during bicoastal L.A. and New York ceremonies hosted by Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Chelsea Peretti. (Fun fact: Peretti is married to last year's WGA winner for Best Original Screenplay, Jordan Peele.)
In 2018, both WGA winners went on to win the Academy Award, and this year, three of the Original Screenplay contenders and four of the Adapted Screenplay nominees will continue on to the Oscars. Can the Writers Guild predict the future again? See all of the winners, in bold, below.
