Ep 39: Citizen Journalism
This week Twenty Something looks at the rising trend of citizen journalism – news and online content being created by ordinary people in the form of pictures, videos, blogs and more. We all have a new voice and it’s time to use it. We’re joined in the studio by Nabila Usman from Newsglobe.com which uses both pro and amateur reporters from all over the world and Jhalak Bhavzar, from The Khaleej Times. Both discuss the pros and cons of news coming from ordinary people. And we spend a day with the young citizen journalists of environmental group Tawasul, as they do their bit for marine conservation.
And MC and producer, Jabbar performs in the studio.
