Steffy tells Ridge how she enjoys working at Forrester Creations and with Marcus. Ridge, never having heard of Marcus before, becomes suspicious when learning that Donna was the one who hired him. Steffy also becomes suspicious when she later sees Marcus and Donna talking. After Nick helps Katie get into bed, she becomes feverish and has problems breathing. Katie suddenly grips Nick’s hand tightly as her eyes drift closed. When Bridget and Brooke arrive with a newly discovered treatment for Katie, Nick indicates that they are too late. Bridget finds that Katie is still (barely) alive and begins to administer the treatment. Katie’s loved ones stand by her bedside and pray for a miracle.
