Several of the music industry’s most illustrious artists united at London’s Royal Albert Hall in December 2004, for a unique concert to raise funds for the victims of the conflict in Darfur, Sudan. A variety of acts, including lead singer of the Pretenders Chrissie Hynde, Simply Red front man Mick Hucknall, disco-diva Jocelyn Brown, soprano Barbara Hendricks and Broadway stage actress Ruthie Henshall, performed an extravaganza of music from Cole Porter, backed by the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
