BTS Bring K-Pop Fever To London
reuters.com: A Korean boy band that's gaining worldwide traction swept into London Tuesday (October 10), fresh off a packed stadium performance in New York last week.
South Korea's BTS are helping K-pop have its moment in the global mainstream.
The band's smashed through records in the last year, with a number 1 on the Billboard 200.
They also collaborated on a single with Nicki Minaj and even spoke at the United Nations.
Their UK debut at the O2 arena - a venue that can hold 20,000 cheering fans - was completely sold-out- for two days straight.
The group's been together for five years and they're beginning to win over fans from several continents, but the K-pop fever that swept through the British capital Tuesday night surprised even die-hard fans who struggled to get tickets.
The band's tour heads to Europe next, before taking a victory lap through Asia into next year.
