‘Ghost’ the Musical .. at Dubai Opera
This October, the award-winning musical “Ghost” is coming to Dubai Opera’s stage. Based on the 1990 film of the same name, which starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg, it won two Academy Awards, including Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Screenplay.
Bruce Joel Rubin has adapted his Oscar-winning screenplay for this musical, which premiered in Manchester in 2011, and has been performed in London's West End and New York's Broadway.
Since then, it’s been nominated for five Olivier Awards and three Tony Awards. It features songs such as ‘Unchained Melody’ by The Righteous Brothers, with original music and lyrics written by Dave Stewart and Glenn Ballard.
