Etonline.com: The 2018 Kids' Choice Awards is officially here!
The awards show kicked off at the Form in Inglewood, California, on Saturday, with John Cena returning as host for the second consecutive year.
Among this year's nominees on the movie side were Coco, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Wonder Woman and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, with stars like Gal Gadot, Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth and Kevin Hart nominated for acting awards. On the TV side, Stranger Things and Millie Bobby Brown seemed to be a big hit with the kids, as well as Big Bang Theory, Fuller House and The Thundermans.
Cena opened up to ET about the awards show on Friday, teasing that while fans will certainly see celebs take the stage to accept their awards, it's the kids who are the real stars of the show.
"The live votes, the slime, the audience interaction, the amount of production that Nickelodeon puts into their sets, it's done for the people in these seats, and it's done for the people at home," he said.
