
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed visit ADNOC
wam.ae: Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has met with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces yesterday at the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, ADNOC.
Their Highnesses expressed their pride in the loyal sons of the UAE who adopted the values of leadership, excellence and innovation to promote the country’s international competitiveness.
They also stressed the importance of maintaining economic diversity based on the UAE’s strengths and experiences, especially in essential sectors such as energy, as well as adopting an academic approach and predicting the future to guarantee growth and prosperity and strengthen the nation’s position among the world’s advanced countries, while ensuring the safety, security and stability of its peopleHis Highness also reviewed the company’s strategy to predict the future and achieve smart growth through several major pillars, which include investing in human resources, enhancing staff performance and increasing added value and economic returns.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid stressed that the UAE is moving forward under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in predicting the future, developing and empowering human resources, and establishing the foundation of a strong economy that guarantees growth and prosperity.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum added that correct and clear planning based on loyalty always achieves excellent outcomes. He also expressed his happiness over the positive energy of ADNOC’s young employees, the company’s long-term future plans and its ambitious goals, while stressing the need for more of this energy and ways of thinking in all the nation’s institutions.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed praised ADNOC’s initiatives to widen its strategic partnerships and create joint investment opportunities to provide added value and promote the future growth of promising sectors.
During their tour of the business centre, the delegation took part in a live video conference with a group of ADNOC engineers working in three locations -- the Al Rumaitha Oil Field, Buhasa and Das Island -- who briefed the sheikhs on the nature of their work.
The tour also included a visit to Floor "++" at the ADNOC headquarters, where Sheikh Mohammed was briefed by the company’s employees on the purpose of using the symbol "+" in the name of the floor, as it symbolises the added value from the company’s activities and its innovative ideas. The floor has various areas that were designed to motivate employees and drive them to innovate and promote team work.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on a smart platform to monitor operations and a crisis and emergency management centre that is being built according to the most advanced technological specifications, as the first of its kind in terms of its ability to monitor operations in all aspects of the company’s work.
The platform also supports ADNOC’s digital transformation and promotes co-ordination, as well as links production planning to market requirements to achieve greater financial and economic success.
His Highness then toured Hall 1958, which commemorates the date of the first drilling operation in the Umm Al Sheif region of Abu Dhabi, with the furniture in the room matching the style of that period, reflecting ADNOC’s commitment to the local community and its social responsibility.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed also visited the decision room, which contains the first and oldest meeting table in the ADNOC headquarters, which has witnessed important decisions in the oil and gas sector in the UAE.
