Katy Perry Out-Dollys Dolly Parton at ACM Awards
Katy Perry loves a good theme. Ever since the cupcake bra, the singer has captivated everyone with her out-of-the-box style choices. So it’s no surprise she really got into full-on country girl mode at the ACM Awards Sunday night.
Ahead of her performance with ultimate Country Queen Dolly Parton, Perry made sure to do the icon proud, hitting the red carpet in a one-of-a-kind Jeremy Scott creation. The signer left everyone speechless in her aqua metallic jacket, pink knit crop top, metallic skirt, cow print belt and cow print boots all by Jeremy Scott Couture. And she took Scott as her plus-one to the event.
The designer is also the man behind Perry’s epic (and now iconic) Super Bowl 2015 outfits, and he’s enlisted Perry to serve as the face of the label Moschinowhere he’s Creative Director.
Unsurprisingly, Perry’s look was a total hit on Twitter — and so was her bond with Parton. The pair sat together and made everyone “aww” over their freindship. Parton, however, went more demure with her outfit, keeping things covered up in a long-sleeve ivory lace gown.
Perry gave fans a peek at the bedazzled cowboy boots she’ll be wearing on stage with Parton, and it looks like she has very big things planned for her second outfit of the night. Check them out below.
