Adele to Headline the Pyramid Stage at This Year's Glastonbury Festival, She Confirms
The "Hello" singer made the announcement live on stage Friday night at the O2 in London.
The official Twitter for the festival also the confirmed the news, tweeting: "As @Adele just announced live on stage in London, she will headline Saturday night at this year's Glastonbury Festival!"
Adele recently kicked off her world tour in Belfast, England last month to rave reviews.
In 2011, Adele told Q Mazgazine that she had turned down the change to play the huge music event, saying: "I will not do festivals. The thought of an audience that big frightens the life out of me. I don't think the music would work either. It's all too slow."
The British superstar follows in the footsteps of Dolly Parton, who headlined the Pyramid stage in 2014, and Beyonce who also headline the same stage in 2011.
