Ep 37: Cars

This week Twenty Something looks at the UAE’s obsession with cars. There are over a million of them in Dubai alone and the numbers are growing. Despite having a world-class public transport system only 6% of us use it – we ask why. We find out about the growing trend in legal speed racing at Dubai Autodrome, find out about the hottest modifications at West Coast Customs and are joined in the studio by a panel of car enthusiasts to discuss why cars are so popular, what would make us use public transport more and environmental costs. Hasan Latif Bhatti is the founder of thecarlovers.com, Phill Tromans is the editor of automiddleeast.com and Jimmy Poon is a Mustang enthusiast. And we hear the official line from the Road Traffic Authority.

Middle East dance sensation, Xtremers perform in the studio.
