Once Upon A Time - A Celebration

A musical and cultural extravaganza which celebrated the bicentenary of the world’s greatest storyteller and took place in April 2005, in Denmark - Hans Christian Andersen’s place of birth. Hans Christian Andersen’s tales, such as The Princess and The Pea, The Ugly Duckling and The Little Mermaid were all interpreted on stage by musicians, dancers and performers including Tina Turner, Jean Michel Jarre, Olivia Newton John, Daniel Beddingfield, Renee Flemming and Hayley Westenra. Specialist acts, celebrity contributors and appointed HCA Ambassadors from around the world all contributed to the event.
