Dubai Police Response Time in Q3 of 2021 - 1.55 Minutes

Mediaoffice.ce: Dubai Police have recorded a response time of 1.55 minutes to emergencies during the third quarter of 2021, while their 999 emergency number received about 1.3 million calls during the same period. 

These statistics were revealed during the Operations Department performance appraisal meeting, headed by the Eng. Major General Mohamed Saif Al Zafin, Assistant Commander-in-chief for Operations Affairs, in the presence of Brigadier Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Mualla, Director of the General Department of Excellence and Pioneering; Brigadier Nabeel Abdullah Alrida, Acting Director of Operations, and a number of Dubai Police senior officers.  

Swift Response 

Officials of the Dubai Police Command and Control Centre revealed that during the third quarter of 2021, Dubai Police's emergency hotline 999 received 1,341,612 calls, of which %99.8 were answered within 10 seconds, compared to 1,222,608 calls received during the same period last year. 

Moreover, the average time for Dubai police patrols to reach emergency scenes was only 1.55 minutes with a targeted response time of six minutes, compared to 3.37 minutes in the same period of last year.
  
901 for Non-Emergencies 
 
Furthermore, Major General Al Zafin also reviewed the statistics of the 901 call centre, where the total number of received calls reached 166,837 calls during the third quarter – of those 94 % (i.e. 156,339 calls) were answered within 20 seconds. 
 
 
At the end of the meeting, Al Zafin called upon staff members to fulfil their job requirements in a timely and accurate manner, to improve business quality and performance to upgrade work standards to the highest levels. 


He also urged the public to understand the difference between 901 and the emergency hotline 999 and be more mindful of their calls to the hotline.
