Paul Rudd`s PSA Urges Millennials to Wear Masks

Hollywoodreporter.com: Paul Rudd is urging millennials to wear a mask as the novel coronavirus pandemic continues.

The 51-year-old actor, who is considered a "certified young person" for his youthful looks, teamed up with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo for a public service announcement regarding masks. The video was part of Cuomo's national "Mask Up America" Campaign.

"This nation is still battling the COVID-19 pandemic and young people are not immune from it," Gov. Cuomo said. "We all need to do our part and wear a mask. Thanks to Paul Rudd for helping us spread this crucial message and reach young people like him."In a two-minute clip released Monday, Rudd explains that his "homie" Cuomo asked him to help explain why it's important for millennials to wear masks and stop the spread of the virus.

With a skateboard in hand, Beats headphones around his neck and a ball cap, the actor emphasizes that masks are "totally beast."

"I'm not going to preach at you, like some celebrity. This is a convo where I talk, and you shut up and wear your mask," he says.

"Masks protect you and your dank squad because caring about other people is the new not caring about other people," he quips.

Throughout the video, Rudd shows off his dance moves while filming a "stop the pandemic challenge" on TikTok and pleads for everyone to wear their masks as "hundreds of thousands of people are dying and it's preventable."

At the end of the video, Rudd even enlisted help from Hot Ones host Sean Evans to help re-create their viral "look at us" meme as they stain their masks with hot sauce while trying to eat hot wings.

"Look at us," Evans says. "Who would have thought wearing masks would be a problem!"

"Not me!" Rudd says.
