Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Visits Expo 2020 Dubai Site

Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, visited the Expo 2020 Dubai Site Office today and said he was encouraged by the developments on site. During the visit, His Highness was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

Upon arrival, His Highness was received by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee, President, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman, Dubai Airports, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, and Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, the UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau Director General.

Also present were Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee members HE Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of State, CEO of Masdar, CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Media Council, HE Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Vice-Chairman of the Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee, Director General of HH The Ruler’s Court of Dubai, UAE Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICDHE), Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of the Dubai Municipality, HE Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and Director General of Dubai World Trade Centre Authority (DWTCA), HE Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman, Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC), and Major-General Abdullah Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police.

Sheikh Mohammed conducted a helicopter tour of the Expo site to see its progress. Sheikh Mohammed was briefed by department heads and directors on the considerable advancements made by the Expo team in the areas of Real Estate and Development, International Participants, Legacy, Business Development and Integration, and Youth Connect.
