Wonder Woman Sequel Hits Theater in 2019

Etonline.com: Mark your calendars, Wonder Woman fans!

Just days after a sequel was confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con, Warner Bros. has officially set the release date for Wonder Woman 2.

According to multiple reports, the follow-up to the Gal Gadot-starring superhero flick will arrive in theaters on Dec. 13, 2019. While no director has officially been announced, Gadot will reprise her iconic role and it has been rumored that the studio is in talks to have Patty Jenkins return as director.

Wonder Woman was a summer smash, earning over $769.7 million worldwide so far, and breaking records, including the mark for highest-grossing live-action film directed by a woman.

In June, a source revealed to ET that Jenkins was at work on a sequel script, which will reportedly take place in the U.S.
