'Wonder Woman’s Sequel Is Confirmed

Etonline.com: Wonder Woman 2 is a go!

This summer’s comic book blockbuster, starring Gal Gadot as the eponymous demigod, is officially getting a sequel, Warner Bros. announced during their Comic-Con panel on Saturday.

Gadot appeared on the WB panel, alongside fellow Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher, promoting their DC team-up film, which hits theaters in November.

Raking in approximately $767.7 million worldwide since its premiere in early June, Wonder Womanis the DC Extended Universe's most profitable adaptation yet, and broke records for director Patty Jenkins as the highest-grossing live-action film directed by a woman.

A source revealed to ET back in June that Jenkins was at work on a sequel script, though she has not yet been confirmed to direct.

“The story will take place in the U.S., which I think is right,” Jenkins told EW at the time. “She’s Wonder Woman. She’s got to come to America. It’s time... It’s a beautiful story to tell, an important time to tell it and with people that I love.”

In addition to Wonder Woman 2, Warner Bros. revealed plans for James Wan’s standalone Aquaman film, Suicide Squad 2, The Batman, Justice League Dark, Joss Whedon’s Batgirl, Green Lantern Corps, and The Flash: Flashpoint, during the panel presentation.
