Emirates Red Crescent Launches Iftar Project in Yemen

Wam.ae: The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, on Saturday launched its Ramadan iftar project in Hadramaut governorate, south Yemen, for this year and distributed iftar meals and other food supplies to fasting people with the help of local volunteers.

Now in its second year, the annual charity project is in line with directives from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to ease the suffering of Yemenis during the crisis that their country is going through.

Head of the ERC team Abdullah Al Musaferi said the agency is keen on providing adequate humanitarian support to Yemenis to help them during the crisis.

He also conveyed greetings and best wishes from the leadership and government of the UAE for the Yemeni people.
