Under Patronage of Mohammed bin Rashid Dubai Government Excellence Program Honors Winners

Under the patronage of Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP) will honor the winners of its 20th cycle in a ceremony organized by the General Secretariat of Dubai Executive Council at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Secretary General of the Executive Council and DGEP Chairman Abdulla Al Shaibani said: “This year we celebrate the program’s 20th anniversary. We are proud to say that DGEP has established a comprehensive government excellence system and has contributed in developing our government’s departments to compete on international level”.

Al Shaibani added: “One of our profound achievements in public service is developing the 4th generation of the government excellence system, the first results-oriented system in the world designed by the government to develop the government performance. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched this system in March 2015 to upgrade and develop government work and services in an innovative way and taking the results achieved on the ground as a base to achieve excellence in government services in the three main areas: achieving vision, innovation and enablers which will be positively and actively reflected on the style and the type of services provided to customers thus realizing the highest satisfaction and happiness rates. In April 2016, Dubai Ruler issued directives to implement the system and, consequently, government entities integrated the 4th generation of the government excellence system in their entire internal procedures and polices”.

Al Shaibani said that the Government Excellence program organized a series of workshops, training programs and symposiums to increase awareness, including six specialized workshops designed for managers and senior executives.
