Kanye West sparkles at Met Gala red carpet in blue contacts

The rapper made sure to stand out Monday night at the Met Gala red carpet by going with a surprising fashion statement in his eyes. West changed up his look with a blue shade of contact lenses, perfectly paired with ripped blue jeans. The fashion-inclined artist was accompanied by his belle of the ball, wife Kim Kardashian.

The high profile couple matched in shiny Balmain pieces, with West rocking a silver shiny blazer and Kardashian flaunting her post baby bod in a silver column gown. The reality starlet, who usually shares more at such glitzy events, told E! News she was going for a “bling, sexy robot” vibe.

When asked about the unique-contact lenses accesory, West told the Daily News he was inspired by "vibes." The daring looks were part of the big fashion night’s future theme, “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.”
