Whitney Houston's Lifetime Movie Premieres

Despite plenty of skepticism from die-hard fans and even attacks from Whitney Houston's extended family, Lifetime finally debuted their film about the "I Will Always Love You" singer Saturday night.

While there were certainly plenty of sassy and snarky comments online, the average viewer appeared to be pleasantly surprised by the work of executive producer Angela Bassett and actress Yaya DaCosta. You can breathe now, ladies. "There was a pressure to keep it real and not be offensive," DaCosta shared with E! News before the big premiere. "This is a real person who really lived that everybody knows and loves."
